Darl traveled professionally as a gospel musician.  He started playing the piano at the age of 6 and started playing bass guitar in 1970.  He  recorded his first album with a gospel group starting in 1972. He is a producer, engineer, and studio musician for Spiritual Heritage Ministries' recording studio.  

 

Darl attended Ben Speer’s Stamps-Baxter School of Music.
